A further four bankers have quit the UK business of Troika Dialog following the resignation of its chief executive Howard Snell and several departures from its private equity arm in Russia.
A three-man sales and trading team in London are leaving Troika to join VTB Capital, the investment banking arm of the state controlled bank VTB. Troika confirmed the team of Will Lynch, Peter Walker and Richard Phillips, had left the bank last week. Louise Gibney, a senior institutional sales executive, has also left Troika’s London operation without having a job to go to.
A Troika Dialog spokeswoman said the bank was hiring to replace those bankers and would also soon announce recruits to its private equity and investment banking teams in Russia.
Snell resigned from Troika last month will remain on the board of directors of the UK business for a couple of months. Snell, who has a restaurant in London and other interests, is believed to be taking time out to consider his future options.
Giedrius Pukas, the managing director of Troika Capital Partners, the group’s alternative asset management division, is leaving with a senior team to launch his own firm.
Pukas and Troika have been involved in a media storm with counter claims over the background to his departure.
