Russian investment bank Troika Dialog has tapped Igor Sagiryan from rival Renaissance Capital as group president to oversee new business development and strategic tasks with clients.
Sagiryan will be responsible for overseeing new business development at Troika as well as managing the company’s strategic tasks in its operations with institutional and private clients.
At Rencap, Sagiryan was in charge of the group’s commerical links, government relations, and the company’s investment banking and financial services unit. He had previously been a founder of Bain-Link, a Russian management consultancy.
Troika, which has cut costs and staffing by 35%, has started to hire again following its strategic partnership agreement with Standard Bank of South Africa. The bank is believed to be closing in on a number of bankers for key roles in sales, trading and private equity.
