Russia’s Troika Dialog has slipped from its long-standing position as one of the country’s top three asset management companies, according to data from the National Rating Agency.
Troika’s assets under management had fallen to 79.2bn rubles ($2.62bn), putting it in fifth place by the end of 2009, according to a report in Vedomosti.
Pavel Teplukhin, the founder of Troika Dialog’s asset management business, announced last month he is quitting the Russian brokerage after 19 years without having a new job to go to.
Troika was also outplaced last year by UralSib which doubled its assets to 101.7bn rubles, from 51.3bn rubles, and by Gazprombank, which more than doubled its business to 102bn rubles from 41bn.
