African Development Bank parting company with senior vice-president Charles Boamah

By Andrei Skvarsky.

Charles Boamah is stepping down as senior vice-president of the African Development Bank, according to a statement from the lender.

Boamah has spent 23 years at the development bank, having held the positions of director of accounting, controller and chief financial officer (combining the latter post with that of vice-president), before being promoted to senior vice-president.

Before joining the African Development Bank, which is based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, he served as vice-president of US lenders First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo and as an audit supervisor at PwC, one of the world’s “Big Four” accounting firms.

“I am leaving the Bank, but I can tell you the Bank never leaves you. I expect to continue to be an ambassador of this great institution,” the statement quoted Boamah as saying.
