Cryptocurrencies, blockchain among subjects to be raised at Cbonds-organised forum in London

Cryptocurrencies and blockchain, which are the “in-thing” in financial markets across the world today, will be among numerous subjects to be raised at the VII Cbonds Emerging Markets Bond Conference in London on April 19-20, organised by St Petersburg-based financial information company Cbonds.

Dohyung “DH” Kim, chief executive of Canada-based blockchain-powered securities exchange Finhaven Technology, will be one of the two speakers at a session entitled “BondTech – how will new technologies change bond markets? Bonds on blockchain, crypto-currencies, etc.”

The theme of his presentation is “the efficiency of bond markets and blockchain technology”.

The presentation by Doreen Abeysundra, chief executive of London-based clean technology-focused Fresco Advisory, is entitled “What Role Could FinTech play in Green Bond Issuances?”

Many more bond-related issues will be raised at the forum, which will be held at the Hotel Cafe Royal, 68 Regent Street, W1B 4DY.

The participants include about 90 companies, including Societe Generale, Credit Agricole, Raiffeisenbank, UniCredit, Allianz Global Investors, AXA Investment Managers, VTB Capital, and Renaissance Capital.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, central banks, Moscow Exchange and Kazakhstan Stock Exchange will also be taking part.
