EVENTS: Investment Education Symposium, New Orleans, Louisiana, February 19-21

Pension system executives, financiers, actuaries, lawyers and others will talk about investing, fiduciary responsibility and the selection of money managers at the Investment Education Symposium in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 19-21, 2020.

Institutional investors such as pension funds, endowments and foundations are the main target audience of the event, co-organised by New York-based company Opal Group and the Louisiana Trustee Education Council (LATEC).

Both traditional and alternative investors will be represented on the speakers’ panel.

The speakers, some of whom oversee large-scale capital flows, will include institutional investors, pension fund, asset and hedge fund managers, consultants and lawyers.

The symposium will exclusively consist of panel discussions led by consultants and family office managers.

Only standalone speakers will be allowed to use PowerPoint presentations, but other PowerPoint presentations can be added to a symposium mobile app if submitted to an Opal representative in the PDF/PPT format.

As the symposium is planned as an educational event, speakers will not be allowed to market specific products or services during presentations.

The symposium will take place at the Royal Sonesta hotel.

EmergingMarkets.me readers are eligible for a 15 per cent discount on the attendance fee. They will need to quote the EMIES2020 code to receive it.
