Russian brokerage BrokerCreditService (BCS), which has been recruiting intensively over the past few months, has hired Shan Jiang from Gulf International Bank as a quant strategist.
Jiang took up his duties at BCS’s London office on Tuesday, Luis Saenz, the London-based head of equity and derivatives sales and trading at the brokerage, told EmergingMarkets.me.
BCS has been the number one broker in terms of equity turnover volume at Russia’s Micex-RTS stock exchange since July, and was among the top three brokers by turnover on the country’s derivatives market (FORTS) as of last month.
For more than 10 years, BCS has been a market leader in terms of derivatives trade turnover on Micex and RTS with between 12% and 14% of the total.
“We expect to make one or two additional key hires by year-end in our BCS London office as we continue to roll out our differentiated institutional product suite,” Saenz said.
BCS has a staff of more than 2,450 across its Russian, Cyprus and London offices.
