Football contest organised by UAE’s Bayut becomes networking opportunity

By Andrei Skvarsky.

Bayut.com, a Dubai-based property portal, has said it organised an amateur football tournament for United Arab Emirates real estate companies which has proved to be a “great” networking opportunity for businesspeople as well as a sports event.

A team from the Driven Properties property broker, investment firm and consultancy won the three-week contest, which finished on March 3, and Blissimi Real Estate came second, Bayut said in a statement.

As Bayut, Driven Properties and Blissimi are headquartered in Dubai.

The tournament “not only provided participants with a much needed break from routine, but also gave them a great chance to widen their professional networks through contact with industry players both on and off the field”, said Bayut chief executive Haider Ali Khan.

“We are definitely planning another such tournament soon.”
