Investment company Permira has announced it has elevated a member of its Italian team, Francesco Pascalizi, to the position of co-head for Italy to join Fabrizio Carretti in co-running the London-headquartered global firm’s Italian operation.
Pascalizi, who will be based in Milan, joined Permira in 2007 and is a member of its industrial technology and services division.
He is also one of the top figures in pet care retail chain Arcaplanet and traditional foods producer Gruppo La Piadineria, Italian companies acquired by Permira funds in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
The two buyouts are among transactions Pascalizi has worked on.
Before joining Permira, Pascalizi had worked at UBS Investment Bank and US alternative investment company Bain Capital.
