Kroll, a global provider of risk solutions, has promoted five members of staff to senior positions in its North America and Asia Pacific teams.

The promotions included three appointments in US-based cyber security practices. Benedetto Demonte, who had a two-decade career with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) before joining Kroll, was appointed as managing director of the practice in New Jersey. Erik Rasmussen, formerly a state prosecutor and law enforcement officer in the United States, became managing director of the Los Angeles practice and head of Kroll’s Los Angeles office. Information technology specialist Marc Brawner is now principal of the Tennessee cyber security practice, according to a statement from Kroll, which has its headquarters in New York.

The other two appointees were vested with roles in investigations and disputes practices. Dan Schorr was appointed as managing director of the practice in New York and Stefano Demichelis as principal of the practice in Singapore.
