Provide overall management to Quality Assurance operations in Software Development projects. Managing and mentoring the QA department, provide an effective liaison within business departments, Project Management and Development teams.
Responsibilities:
* Manage team of Quality Assurance Engineers
* Prepare job descriptions, identify staffing needs, provide general direction, assign specific tasks and responsibilities, evaluate and mentor staff
* Assess personal KPIs of team members; arrange regular meetings; follow company practices to properly control and motivate them
* Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as required
* Organise trainings for new QA starters, perform regular reviews during probation
* Oversee testing environments, liaise with relevant technical teams required change requests
* Supervise all aspects of software testing in Company
* Provide regular reports to line manager
* Prepare department’s budget and Risk Register on quarterly basis
* Implement, supervise Quality Assurance processes and workflows
* Keep test related documentation up to date
* Design and oversee functional, regression, stress, load and performance tests on business critical Trading and Web systems
* Oversee automation for QA processes
* Oversee and participate in problem resolution process with other technical teams
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong analytical and technical skills
* Good understanding of business environment and Alpari’s products / platforms
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with heads of departments, directors, stakeholders, managers, and subject matter experts
* Ability to analyse complex business processes
* Ability to think analytically and solve problems
* Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources
* Basic scripts / programming language knowledge
Educational / Experience Requirements:
* Knowledge of FX Trading Industry
* University degree, preferably in Computing, Engineering, Science or Mathematics
* Good presentation and communication skills
* Experience in performance, load and stress testing
* Previous experience of working in Agile environments (SCRUM experience is an added advantage)
* Knowledge of MetaTrader platform and ECN platforms
