Newport, Rhode Island, is the site of two more financial conferences this week organised by Opal Group besides a family office event that has just ended – Cyber Security Summit 2018 and Financial Innovation and Payments Summit 2018, both being held on July 18-20.
Friday’s agenda for the Cyber Security Summit includes panel sessions on cryptocurrencies, blockchain and mobile and Internet of Things technology.
One of the keynote speakers at the conference is Kurt Volker, a senior U.S. diplomat and executive director of the McCain Institute for
International Leadership, a part of Arizona State University.
Digital technology including cryptos and blockchain are also on the agenda of the Financial Innovation and Payments Summit. The theme of one of Friday’s sessions is “Digital currencies and their impact on the currency markets, reserve currencies, and structured transactions and what Washington is saying”.
