A draft law has been introduced to Russia’s parliament to restore the practice of moving the clocks one hour forward in the spring and one hour back in the autumn, Russian media said on Monday.

The proposed law is bound to be hailed by stock exchange traders in the West who complained about Russia’s 2011 law that kept daylight saving time for the whole year. Some traders on the London Stock Exchange have to start work at 6am between October and March to keep up with trade on Moscow Exchange.
So far more than 100 of the lower house’s 450 deputies have put their signatures under the bill, according to its author, Sergei Kalashnikov, chairman of the State Duma’s Healthcare Committee.
