Sberbank, Russia’s biggest lender, has announced two senior hires, one for the position of head of data management and one for the role of head of logistics.

Konstantin Kruglov has been hired from Yandex, the company running Russia’s largest Internet search engine, as head of the data management department (SberData) in the bank’s technology unit, Sberbank said in a statement.

At Yandex, Kruglov was experimental products director. He coordinated projects such as the Yandex.Station smart speaker and DataCloud, a platform for the anonymous analysis of potential bank clients through their digital activity.

Kruglov is the founder of Data-Centric Alliance (DCA), a provider of solutions for digital advertising, retail, financial services, telecom and other industries, and a co-founder of i-Sys, an outsource software developer. Both companies are based in Moscow.

He also worked as a senior technology officer at Russian bank Tinkoff, managed a team of about 300 at Deutsche Bank, and held a job with Troika Dialog before its acquisition by Sberbank in 2012.

Sergei Malyshev, a former deputy CEO of Russian Post, has been hired as head of logistics, according to another Sberbank statement.

His record includes senior roles at Sun Interbrew, the former name of SunInBrew, the Russian subsidiary of Belgian drinks and brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Glass Trading, a Russian car spares wholesaler.
