Sberbank, Russia’s biggest lender, has hired Alla Aleynikova from Swiss bank UBS to head the group servicing high-net-worth individuals.
Aleynikova is based in Moscow in her new job with Sberbank Private Banking, having relocated from New York, where she worked at UBS’s international division. Previously she spent 11 years at Citigroup offices in the United States and Chile.
Aleynikova took her Sberbank position on February 10.
“Alla’s key specialties are banking and investment services, complex structured deals involving derivatives and credit instruments, and using trusts as inheritance planning tools. In addition, over her career Alla has gained experience in working with clients who are interested in creating charity foundations and forming art collections,” Sberbank said in a statement.
Aleynikova holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. She possesses US financial industry licences 7, 66 and 3 and a Swiss qualification as a certified wealth management advisor.
