By Andrei Skvarsky.

Sberbank, Russia’s biggest lender, has made two senior appointments for its investment arm Sberbank CIB, hiring Paul Goldfinch from Swiss bank UBS as chief financial officer and Annie Jordan from London-based headhunter Lansdowne International as head of human resources.

Goldfinch has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, including 16 years at UBS’s Moscow office with the eventual role as chief operating officer for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Jordan has held senior jobs in human resources management for more than 25 years.

She was a founding partner at Lansdowne International, completing a number of projects for the financial industry.

Previously she held senior positions at two US-headquartered executive search companies, spending five years at Wellesley Partners, where she was a founding partner, and 14 years as a management partner at Heidrick & Struggles. “As a Senior Partner, one of her major projects was establishing Heidrick & Struggles’ Moscow office,” Sberbank CIB said in a statement.

Sberbank CIB has made a series of other senior placements recently, appointing Sergey Smirnov as head of the government and municipal projects and programmes division, Tom Levinson as foreign exchange and rates chief strategist, Vladimir Pantyushin as fixed income senior strategist, and Igor Ushakov and Vadim Marchuk as mergers and acquisitions managers.
