Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), a Netherlands-based startup promotion platform, has named 12 African startups that have been selected to pitch their business at an investors’ conference in Cape Town in November.

The 12 companies, four of which are Egyptian, three Nigerian, four South African, and one Algerian, will showcase their projects at the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit in Cape Town on November 13-14, VC4A said in a statement.

The startups, selected by 40 venture capital investors, “demonstrate strong revenues and competitive edge, are well-positioned for regional and internal expansion, and are working on important innovations in the healthcare, finance, transport, commerce and advertising sectors”, the statement said.

They will receive mentorship in the weeks preceding the Cape Town event.
