Andrew Cornthwaite has been appointed Head of International Coverage and Head of International Global Banking at VTB Capital. Andrew will be based in London and will report operationally to Riccardo Orcel, Deputy CEO of VTB Group, Head of Client Coverage at VTB Bank and Global Banking at VTB Capital, and regionally to Atanas Bostandjiev, CEO, UK and International of VTB Capital.
Andrew brings a wealth of industry and client knowledge to the VTB Capital team, having gained over 25 years of experience in the investment banking industry and an extensive knowledge and understanding of the general banking business within emerging markets. Previously, Andrew worked at Renaissance Capital, serving as Deputy CEO and Head of Investment Banking. Prior to this, he held senior managing positions at Credit Suisse. Andrew has previously been based in the UK, Hong Kong, Russia and Africa.
Andrew graduated from Oxford University in 1987 and The College of Law in 1988.
