World Blockchain Forum in New York to bring together over 150 firms

More than 150 companies are going to take part in the 4th World Blockchain Forum (WBF), a conference in New York on November 8-9, 2018, that will take up issues such as blockchain finance, cryptocurrencies and token economics.

The programme of WBF, which is expected to bring together more than 2,500 people and hear more than 200 speakers, includes a job fair and a televised session during which blockchain companies would pitch projects to investors, according to a statement from the forum organiser, US-registered World Blockchain Forum Corp..

Immediately after the conference, on November 10-11, WBF Corp. and American technology company Ideas will co-host a global blockchain hackathon.

The project pitching TV show, to be called WBF · New York City Series, will be run by TV producer SharkChain on WBF’s day one and will be broadcast through various channels, including Nasdaq facilities, Netflix and Hulu.

The job fair will be hosted by Chinese company liepin.com.

The statement pointed out that WBF is a good opportunity for blockchain and crypto sceptics to air their doubts and concerns and listen to what “movers, shakers, and beneficiaries” of blockchain and crypto technologies have to say.

The forum will be held at the New York Hilton Midtown, 1335 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
