The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the emirate’s sovereign investment fund, has hired Michael Steliaros from Goldman Sachs as global head of equity portfolio engineering and trading in its Core Portfolio Department.
At Goldman Sachs, Steliaros was global head of quantitative execution services, which is a research and development division. Previously, he held senior London- and New York-based roles for eight years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Earlier on, he was a lecturer of financial econometrics at City University Business School in London and has written numerous papers, articles and books, ADIA said in a statement.
Steliaros will report to Dhaen Alhameli, Executive Director of the Core Portfolio Department.
