The African Development Bank (AfDB) last week hosted a seminar in Tunis to advertise private investment opportunities in North Africa.
The two-day event brought together nearly 200 participants from 23 countries who represented civil engineering, public works and other industries, the Abidjan-based multilateral development lender said in a statement.
The seminar was a follow-up to private investment promotion events in Johannesburg and Nairobi, according to the statement.
The AfDB has been doing business in North Africa for nearly half a century, having put about $23.7bn into sectors including the energy, transport and water industries, agriculture and social development, the statement said.
