Bankers, consultants, lawyers and others are going to get together at an alternative investing conference in California early in December to look at a range of issues such as risks, asset allocation options, and cost cutting options.
The agenda for the Alternative Investing Summit in Dana Point on December 4-6 also includes opportunities in emerging markets.
The participants are expected to include investment bankers, insurers, pension trustees and administrators, venture capitalists, real estate managers and family office managers.
The conference will consist exclusively of panel discussions led by consultants and family office managers.
PowerPoint presentations will be prohibited during the panel sessions but can be added to a mobile app by the conference organiser, New York-based Opal Group, if submitted to Opal as a PDF/PPT document.
Speakers will, besides, be forbidden to market any products or services during presentations.
The event will be held at the Ritz Carlton hotel.
