Blockchain technology and bitcoin will be among the wide range of subjects to be raised at the 5th Annual European Payments Forum to be held in Amsterdam on March 1-2.
As its name suggests, the forum will focus on payments services and practices.
The agenda also includes various payments-related and other subjects such as the role of financial intelligence in combating organised crime and terrorism and the use of new technology and non-bank methods to prevent financial exclusion.
The European Union’s revised Directive on Payment Services (PSD2), a law to make online payments more secure and promote innovative online and mobile payments systems, will also be discussed as it was at the 4th European Annual Payments Forum in Vienna in September 2017.
The numerous speakers will represent commercial and central banks, technology companies, payments services and other firms.
The forum, organised by Budapest-headquartered event management company Global Leading Conferences (GLC), will take place at Radisson Blu Hotel.
