Zagreb- and Belgrade-based Cotrugli Business School has begun to issue blockchain-stored digital diplomas to its graduates.
The diplomas are both in print form with a QR code and in digital form. The digital versions are stored on a HashNET platform, Cotrugli said in a statement. HashNET is a blockchain technology with a throughput capacity of more than 200,000 transactions per second, its developers say.
Cotrugli also runs a blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) project that is co-financed by the European Union from its European Regional Development Fund.
The project offers a HashNET-based customised application development service, the school said in its statement.
Cotrugli, which provides master of business administration (MBA) and executive master of business administration (EMBA) courses, has campuses in Zagreb and Belgrade and branches in Bulgaria, Montenegro, Romania and Slovenia that handle enrolments and logistics and offer some lectures.
Today Cotrugli provides all its teaching online because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
