Anna Vasilenko, an ex-head of primary markets at the Moscow Exchange, has been hired as chief executive officer of emerging markets communications firm and investment consultancy EM to replace Tom Blackwell, who is moving to the newly created role as chairman of the EM management board.
Before joining the Moscow Exchange, Vasilenko had worked at Credit Suisse and investment bank Renaissance Capital and had held an investor relations and capital markets role at Russian oil company Lukoil.
The new duties of Blackwell, who is a co-founder of EM, will include a focus on “senior client relationships and strategic initiatives”, EM said in a statement. EM is staffed with nearly 50 consultants based in London, New York, Moscow and Beijing.
