Former Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has been appointed as chairman of the new supervisory board of Moscow Exchange that was elected at the bourse’s annual general shareholders’ meeting on June 26.
In this capacity, one of his numerous public and academic roles, Kudrin presides over a team that includes Moscow Exchange chief executive Alexander Afanasiev and senior figures at Societe Generale, Sberbank, China Development Bank Corporation, Russian Direct Investment Fund and VTB.
Kudrin has two deputies in his role on the 15-member board – Sergei Lykov, deputy chief executive of Russia’s Vnesheconombank, and Andrey Golikov, a co-chairman of the board of directors of Russia’s National Securities Market Association, the exchange said in a statement.
