Russian brokerage BrokerCreditService (BCS) has hired Igor Goncharov, a former researcher {{{*}}} with Swiss bank UBS and Dutch lender ING, as senior utilities analyst.
Goncharov took up his Moscow-based position at BCS on March 11, Luis Saenz, head of equity and derivatives sales and trading at the firm’s London office, told EmergingMarkets.me.
Goncharov’s jobs with ING and UBS were both Moscow-based. At the Dutch bank, where he worked from August 2011 to October 2012, he was senior analyst specialising in Russian electric utilities.
During his previous six years at UBS, he was senior utilities and fixed-line telecoms analyst. In that period, Thomson Extel and Institutional Investor both named him as No. 2 Russian Utilities Analyst for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the former giving him the title for 2010 and the latter for 2008.
Earlier on, Goncharov held a Russian electricity-focused role with Halcyon Advisors.
His record also includes jobs with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and The Boston Consulting Group.
