Renaissance Capital has hired Will Abbott as co-head of equity domestic sales in the latest in a string of big name hires.
Abbott, who previously headed Deutsche Bank’s sales and trading business in Russia, shares the job of running the Moscow-based investment firm’s equity domestic sales with Ruslan Babaev, Rencap spokesman Quinn Martin told EmergingMarkets.me.
Rencap, which has hired over 100 bankers this year in a potential 250 personnel expansion, is adding big name hires to its operation in Moscow and pushing out into new territories in Asia and Africa.
The bank last month hired former Credit Suisse manager Christopher Carter to run its growing equity derivatives team in Moscow. In February, Rencap recruited Nick Andrews from JP Morgan in Hong Kong as global head of equities and Nikolai Yukovich from Credit Suisse to run its emerging markets currency team.
