ActivTrades, a global foreign exchange (FX) and contract-for-differences (CFD) broker, has hired Matteo Paganini as chief commercial officer.
In his new role Paganini, who had a series of jobs at brokerages before joining ActivTrades, will, among other things, work to develop new products such as an investor profile account with zero commissions and zero swaps on CFDs on stocks and exchange traded funds (ETFs).
He will also try to make the ActivTrader proprietary trading platform a safer, more stable and more user-friendly facility, according to a statement from ActivTrades.
Paganini’s record includes a position as regional revenue officer for Europe at Admirals, an FX and CFD trading platform, a London-based role as managing director for Italy and Spain at Melbourne-headquartered CFD broker Pepperstone and a Europe-focused Cyprus-based job at that company.
Earlier on, Paganini had served as a managing partner at Salex, the first Italian FX broker and had co-founded and managed the Italian division of New York-headquartered FX broker FXCM, where he also worked as chief analyst.
ActivTrades is an online broker providing a comprehensive range of services for retail and institutional clients and having a business geography of more than 160 countries and seven regulatory jurisdictions. Headquartered in London, it operates in a range of markets, including commodities, shares, indices, ETFs and bonds.
