ITI Capital, a London-based brokerage that used to be a British subsidiary of Russian bank Uralsib, has announced it has hired John Barker, a former head of international at New York-headquartered global institutional equities marketplace Liquidnet, as non-executive chairman.
Barker was chief executive of the London operation of Russian financial services company BCS after leaving Liquidnet, where he had been in charge of business in all parts of the world outside of the United States. He joined BCS in 2014.
Barker has also had a ten-year stint as director of operations at Instinet Europe, a Nomura group broker, according to the Banking Technology journal.
