There will be a range of business opportunities for limited partners (LPs), general partners (GPs) and new managers to sound out during Emerging Manager Connect 2019, a conference in New York on July 23.
LPs would be able to meet managers looking for opportunities in emerging private funds and have a chance to learn how to identify the most promising emerging managers.
Emerging managers, for their part, would hear accounts of successful fundraising and receive advice on how to build and compensate a new team and on how to balance limited resources with compliance needs.
Service providers such as placement agents, law firms, bankers and accountants would learn about needs of new and diverse funds.
LPs planning to commit capital and GPs looking to raise capital would be able to have 20-minute one-on-one prescheduled meetings under the ExecConnect Private Meeting Program, but would need to schedule such meetings by July 9.
