Microsoft, VISA, SWIFT and many banks will take part in a planned international conference in Azerbaijan in April this year that will discuss an Azeri government strategy to digitise the oil-rich country’s banking and financial sectors.
The Digital Banking and Security Conference (DBS Conference), to be held in Baku on April 17-18, will focus on ways to improve the regulatory mechanism for accelerating the digitisation of Azerbaijan’s financial services.
Future Advantage International Trade Events, a company based in Baku, is the organiser of the forum, which will take place at the Fairmont Baku, a hotel in a modern skyscraper trio known as Flame Towers.
More than 300 people are expected to attend the conference, the forum’s customer support unit told EmergingMarkets.me.
