Otkritie Bank has appointed Chairman of the Managing Board, following the approval by the Bank’s Board of Directors and the Bank of Russia. In his new capacity, Evgeny Dankevich will be in charge of the Bank’s strategic development and general management. Evgeny will resign as Otkritie Bank’s President and Board of Directors Chairman, while remaining on Otkritie Bank’s Board of Directors.
Evgeny Dankevich has held executive posts at Otkritie since its establishment, successfully developing its retail business. In 2012, he was put in charge of the Corporation’s banking business.
In 1994-1997, he was an Asset Transactions Director with Osnovanie Investment Company. After that, he headed Trading Operations at Otkritie Brokerage House for five years. In 2002-2003, Evgeny was Head of Sales in Western Financial Markets with GUTA BANK’s Department for Client Services in Financial Markets. In 2004, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Otkritie Asset Management; and in 2007, Managing Director at Otkritie Financial Corporation. In 2010, he became the CEO of Otkritie Brokerage House. In November 2011, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board and Head of Retail Business at Otkritie Bank. In 1990, Evgeny graduated as an electronics engineer from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering.
In 2012, Evgeny was appointed Chairman of Otkritie Bank’s Managing Board. In April 2013, he became Otkritie Bank’s President and Board of Directors Chairman. In April 2013, Evgeny also became a member of NOMOS-BANK’s Managing Board and First Deputy President of NOMOS-BANK.
Alexander Dolzhich, Head of Structured Financing and Investment Projects and a Managing Board member at Otkritie Financial Corporation, has been appointed Otkritie Bank’s President and Board of Directors Chairman. Alexander Dolzhich joined Otkritie in June 2011. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director for Structured and Syndicated Financing at Gazprombank (from October 2010) and supervised International Financing at CIT Finance Investment Bank (from 2007 through 2009). Alexander graduated from the Law Department of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
