Two Russian entrepreneurs have launched a venture fund that plans to invest $2m before the end of 2015 in up to five projects to develop solutions for business-to-business (B2B) transactions, according to international information company East-West Digital News (EWDN).
The fund, called B2B Lab, has already put $400,000 into MenuForYou, a Moscow-based startup that has developed a restaurant management solution, EWDN said in a statement. B2B Lab received a stake of about 25% in the startup in exchange.
The fund expects its portfolio companies to break even no later than in three years’ time after investing in them, EWDN said.
B2B Lab has been founded by Alexander Boiko and Vadim Potrashkov, shareholders of Russian online B2B marketplace B2B-center.ru, EWDN said.
