Optima compliance advisory firm hires ex-SEC official Michele Foldenauer as a director

By Andrei Skvarsky.

Financial regulatory compliance advisory firm Optima Partners has hired Michele Foldenauer, a former senior official at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as a director.

Foldenauer will focus on hedge funds, private equity funds, investment advisers, broker-dealers and global financial services firms, corporate communication company PRNewswire cited Optima as saying.

Immediately before joining Optima, Foldenauer was a senior securities compliance examiner and an exam manager in the private funds unit of the SEC’s Miami office.

Earlier on, she served as a securities compliance examiner in Chicago, worked at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and was an independent compliance consultant in Atlanta and an attorney and financial analyst at the Boze Capital firm.
