Pavel Teplukhin, a co-founder of Troika Dialog and a leading light in the development of Russia’s capital markets, has quit the Russian brokerage after 19 years without having a new job to go to.
Moscow’s rumour mill first started churning up that Teplukhin would leave the Moscow group over a year ago over citing irreconciable differences between him and Troika head Reuben Vardanian. Both Troika and Teplukhin dismissed the reports in the Russian press at the time.
In a statement today, Teplukhin said he was leaving to pursue fresh challenges. He said: “We created Russia’s most successful asset management company, whose operations resemble a perfectly-tuned mechanism, and whose leading positions in each client segment as well as the majority of product segments are confirmed by numerous ratings and awards. The matrix is in place and it’s time to explore new horizons. I’m ready for a new challenge.”
Overseeing the asset management business following Teplukhin’s departure will be Jacques Der Megreditchian, the company’s chief business officer. Operations with retail and wealthy clients will continue to be overseen by the team of Igor Sagiryan, president of Troika Dialog Group.
Ruben Vardanian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Troika Dialog Group, added: “Pavel one of the luminaries of Russia’s financial market, and we are grateful for his contribution to the development of Troika Dialog Group.. This was a collective decision among the partners, and we support Pavel Mikhailovich’s plans and ambitions to develop his career in new and interesting areas.
