Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital has hired Seki Mutukwa, a former senior researcher at HSBC, as a frontier markets analyst.
Mutukwa will be based in London and focus on key frontier markets in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, according to a RenCap statement.
Prior to his London-based role at HSBC, where he was a senior analyst at the bank’s global asset management unit, Mutukwa had a six-year London-based job as a portfolio manager and analyst with Blackfriars Asset Management, where he focused on emerging and frontier markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He began his career as a portfolio analyst with UK-based State Street Global Advisors in 2005.
In his current role, he reports to RenCap head of research David Nangle, the Moscow-headquartered bank, which focuses on emerging and frontier markets, said in its statement.
