Renaissance Capital today announced the appointment of a senior politician Igor Kamenskoy as chairman of the board.
A long-serving member of the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of Parliament, Kamenskoy will oversee Renaissance’s relationships with Russian government agencies and regulators as well as state corporations.
Kamenskoy’s appointment will become effective immediately following his stepping down from the Federation Council, which is expected to occur at the close of this month.
Stephen Jennings, chief executive officer of Renaissance Group, said in a statement: “Igor has a wealth of first-hand experience working with government institutions and building strong relations in this sphere.
From 2002, Kamenskoy served as a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly representing Krasnoyarsk Krai, and earlier the Republic of Ingushetia. Kamenskoy’s track record also includes a number of senior roles in the federal government, including Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Federation Issues and Regional Policy and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Social Policy.
From 1998-2000 Kamenskoy served as Vice President of Rosbank and from 1992-1999 he was Vice President of Soyuzkontrakt. Since 2006 Kamenskoy has served as Deputy Head of the Expert Commission of the High Council of United Russia.
