An opportunity has arisen in our Partnership Head Office for a Russian speaking Senior Legal Counsel to work in-house at our office in St Albans, Hertfordshire in the international, dynamic and rapidly growing team with excellent career prospects.
Responsibilities:
– to provide a full spectrum of legal advice to the Partnership – negotiating, amending, drafting and reviewing contracts, both general commercial and those specific to Construction and Medical Equipment supply, Employment, as well as Maritime law to cover UK and Russian markets;
– to manage a team of two lawyers in Russia, involved in litigation specific to Construction and Medical Equipment supply;
– to assist with other legal issues as they arise including property, employment etc.;
– to support the Partners in ensuring the provision of an efficient Partnership Secretarial service;
– to advise and act as necessary on legislation and other guidance on Partnership Secretarial matters and any changes therein
– liaising with the Partnership’s solicitors on legal matters and ensure best practice on legal matters.
The role will be challenging and demanding, involving visits to Russia.
Requirements:
– qualification both in Russian and English law
– strong communication skills both written and verbal in Russian and English;

– fluent Russian and English speaker;
You will be technically strong with excellent analytical skills, intelligent, highly professional and credible with the ability to present information in a clear and precise manner to internal and, where appropriate, external parties. You will be able to see the bigger picture with an excellent eye for detail, able to explain and interpret complex legal issues clearly, mindful of audience. You will be hands on with strong team management skills, have high levels of integrity, and commitment.
An experience in Maritime law would be beneficial.
You will need a proven record of being a Legal Counsel
