Investment bank Sberbank CIB has appointed chief executives for investment and corporate business teams at three of the 14 regional divisions of its parent company Sberbank, Russia’s biggest lender.
Oleg Belyakov and Sergey Sementsov will lead the teams at Severo-Zapadny Bank and Yugo-Zapadny Bank, Sberbank’s northwestern and southwestern arms, respectively. Sergey Vyatkin will be in charge at Volgo-Vyatsky Bank, a division for the central and northern parts of European Russia, Sberbank CIB said in a statement.
All three appointees have worked at Sberbank for many years. They have substantial experience in investment and corporate banking, according to the statement.
“Currently up to 50% of our income from specific products comes from the regions,” said Sberbank CIB chief executive Oleg Ganeev. “Last year we significantly strengthened the regional presence of our corporate and investment banking business, including by modifying our product offering in accordance with local needs and forming teams in each location.”
