Sberbank CIB, the investment arm of Russia’s biggest lender Sberbank, has announced it has hired Igor Bulantsev from the Russian unit of Nordea, the largest bank in the Nordic region by market value, as vice president and head of client management.
Bulantsev joined Moscow’s Nordea Bank in 2003 as first deputy chief executive and was promoted to chief executive in 2009.
Previously, he had worked at Russia’s Guta-Bank, where he oversaw the trade operations and client asset management department and corporate finance unit, and at Rossiyskiy Kredit Bank, where his final role was that of head of conversion operations for foreign markets, Sberbank CIB said in a statement.
“As of today Sberbank CIB services almost 8,000 major corporations and state companies. The Client Management Department performs a strategic role in servicing clients by working according to the ‘one stop shop’ principle,” the statement quoted Sberbank CIB chief executive Oleg Ganeev as saying.
