Sberbank CIB, the investment unit of Russia’s biggest lender Sberbank, has reported one more in a recent string of senior appointments, hiring Igor Ukrasin from Credit Suisse as co-head of sector investment banking and head of energy.

Ukrasin, who takes up his new job on May 14, spent 15 years at Credit Suisse, holding the London-based position of managing director in the European energy group.

“He comes to Sberbank CIB with global M&A and capital markets experience, having advised on some of the most significant energy transactions in recent years,” Sberbank CIB said in a statement.

Ukrasin will report to Todd Berman, head of investment banking.

A short while ago Sberbank CIB hired Kingsmill Bond as chief strategist and Andrey Kuznetsov as strategist. Earlier on, Steven Weller joined the firm as head of foreign exchange trading, Bill Beller as head of equity options trading, and Robert Hagon as co-head of equity sales trading.
