Sberbank, Russia’s biggest lender, has announced that the head of its media, advertising and entertainments division, Tatyana Dobrokhvalova, has been appointed as chief executive officer of Russian internet company Rambler, a Sberbank subsidiary, a position she will combine with her current Sberbank post.
As CEO of Rambler, a company that runs one of Russia’s key search engines, Dobrokhvalova replaces Rafael Abramyan, who has decided to leave the firm, Sberbank said in a statement.
Dobrokhvalova joined Sberbank in 2020 from Gazprom-Media, where she had been deputy CEO.
She had been first deputy CEO of the bid committee for the 2014 Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi, first vice-president of the Sochi 2014 Olympics and Paralympics organising committee, and head of marketing at Russian mobile phone operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS).
Dobrokhvalova is one of Sberbank’s top managers having the title of senior vice-president.
Abramyan joined Rambler in 2015 as executive director and was promoted to CEO in 2019. The Sberbank statement credited him with overseeing about a dozen mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals for the company.
