Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank, has presented opportunities and offered financial support for Serbian consumer goods exports to Russia during an online meeting between a key Russian retail group and Serbian companies.
Eight Serbian firms producing fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) presented products to X5 Retail Group during the event, organised by the lender’s Sberbank International division and Serbian subsidiary Sberbank Srbija, the Moscow-headquartered bank said in a statement.
Sberbank Srbija described solutions to support Serbian foreign trade during the meeting while executives from Sberbank subsidiary SberLogistics spoke about import and export delivery and related services.
In 2020 Russian-Serbian trade was worth more than 2bn euros, said Sberbank International head Timur Kozintsev.
He mentioned that imports from Serbia replace some of the Western goods that wars of sanctions keep out of Russia.
