Sberbank has appointed one of its senior managers, Yevgeny Kolbin, as CEO of SberCloud, a subsidiary running a cloud platform for the ecosystem of Russia’s biggest lender.
In his new role, Kolbin, who until now has headed Sberbank’s Digital Corporate Bank division, replaces Mikhail Lobotsky, who will stay on in SberCloud as deputy CEO and oversee its market strategy, product portfolio and customer relations, according to a statement from Sberbank.
The reins in the Digital Corporate Bank are provisionally going over to Anna Loyevskaya, a section manager in the division.
Three Sberbank divisions – Technologies, Corporate and Investment Business (Sberbank CIB) and ecosystem directorate SberX will coordinate SberCloud’s business development, the statement said.
Kolbin, who joined Sberbank in 2014, is credited with having been instrumental in building out an online non-banking services ecosystem for Sberbank and co-developing a series of remote banking products for corporate clients of the lender.
