M4Markets, a foreign exchange (FX) and contract-for-differences (CFD) brokerage headquartered in Seychelles, has announced it has hired Marilena Iakovou from FX broker Tickmill as chief marketing officer (CMO).
A CFD is a financial derivatives trading deal where the difference between the open and closing trade prices is paid by the buyer to the seller or vice versa depending on which price is higher. Some countries, including the United States, do not permit CFD trading.
Iakovou spent more than three years as CMO of Tickmill, a company that is also based in Seychelles.
Previously she had held Limassol-based jobs at FX brokerages Vipro and Orbex and online FX, metals, commodities and stock trader IronFX, all of them Cypriot firms.
M4Markets is regulated as a CFD broker by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. The company is owned by Seychelles-headquartered securities dealer Trinota Markets.
