Sberbank has hired Svetlana Fedotova from East-West United Bank (EWUB) in Luxembourg as head of the transport and vehicle manufacturing division of Sberbank CIB, the investment arm of Russia’s biggest lender.
Before joining EWUB in 2012 as head of business development, Fedotova had been deputy head of the corporate client and lending division of the Moscow operation of ING, Sberbank CIB said in a statement.
EWUB is controlled by Sistema, a Russian conglomerate with investments in a wide range of sectors, including banking, paper manufacturing, retail, healthcare, hospitality, agriculture, and real estate.
Before being employed by ING, Fedotova had worked at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and BNP-Dresdner Bank, which was a joint venture between France’s BNP Paribas and Germany’s now-defunct Dresdner Bank.
Fedotova has had a banking career of more than 20 years.
