This is a senior support engineer role responsible for supporting all trading systems globally and implementing global changes with a fastpaced Product Development team. You will be responsible for proactive and reactive support, working within defined SLAs, systems automation, creation of system configuration reports and system documentation,

qualifying bug reports and errors (including some testing) and escalating issues to development teams. Working knowledge of ITIL required (incident and problem management). You must have strong communication skills and be able to present high quality concise documentation for colleagues and end users alike. You will have previous experience of working with colleagues in different time zones. As part of the Trading Systems Engineering team you will be deploying fixes and enhancements. You must have Change Management experience. You will be able to demonstrate Project management and organisational skills. As someone who keeps up to date with technology you will contribute new ideas and techniques. An interest in Trading / Financial Markets is absolutely essential, you will be exposed to and expected to learn financial terminology. You will have worked with an in-house development team. The software we support is server side as well as some desktop applications. You will be part of a team of final level support escalation. You will be proficient with Windows Server 2008, substantial experience with controlling and installing software to run as Windows Services, testing software, troubleshooting problems, demonstrate writing SQL queries, use a monitoring/alerts system, and participate in windows automation scripting (PowerShell used in this environment), substantial Application Support experience is essential with the ability to troubleshoot custom software. You will have experience in setting up and troubleshooting applications on servers, test environments, and use of debugging tools. You will have had experience of phone and in-person support in a technical capacity in your previous work.
