Troika Dialog has hired Dean Tyler from VTB Capital as head of international fixed income sales.
The recruitment of Tyler, who took up his duties this month and is based in Troika’s London office, is part of the Moscow-based brokerage’s current integration with Sberbank that aims to give Russia’s biggest lender a foothold in the investment banking market, Troika said in a statement.
Tyler will run Troika’s entire international fixed income sales network with its hubs in Moscow, London and New York.
He held a similar role during his three-year stint at VTB Capital, the brokerage arm of Russia’s VTB Group, overseeing fixed income sales through London, New York, Moscow, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. He also helped to set up the bank’s Hong Kong and New York offices.
Tyler held emerging markets-related positions at ING and a trading job at ABN AMRO before joining VTB.
“We continue to focus our attention on the changing appetites of clients during this period of economic instability,” Maxim Safonov, head of fixed income, currencies and commodities at Troika, said in a comment on Tyler’s appointment.
