Russian brokerage Troika has hired two sale and trading executives in London to replace a team that quit for rival bank VTB Capital in June.
Troika has tapped Jim Bevan and Marcus Martin from Japanese bank Nomura in London. The pair are believed to be on gardening leave until they start at the end of summer.
Bevan and Martin will replace Will Lynch, Peter Walker and Richard Phillips who left to join VTB’s growing presence in London, one of its three global hubs.
Both Troika and Nomura declined to comment.
Emergingmarkets.me reported earlier this week that Troika’s head of sales Gerrit Heyns has stepped down from his Moscow-based role.
A Troika Dialog spokeswoman insisted Heyns had not left the firm and would be retained in some capacity. However, Troika insiders said Heyns had packed up and left town for good.
